Peasants
The Peasants were also known as serfs during the Feudal ages. 90% of people in the middle ages consisted of peasants. There were 2 types of Peasants during the Feudal ages, one type of peasants is known as the free type of peasants who worked in their own businesses, such as blacksmiths, carpenters, bakers etc. The other type of peasants is known as the indentured servants who lived on land and didn't have to pay money or taxes but worked for the lord. An average farmer during the Feudal age was given a piece of land which he would farm located near a castle which would reassure them that they were protected from danger. An average farmer also had the obligation to pass down their farm or land through inheritance. These were only few of the examples that some peasants had, other examples included: having the ability to access building materials, grazing and field rights around their their village, however they didn't not have the right to hunt wild animals.
